Book Review: And There He Kept Her by Joshua Moehling

Two teenagers break into an elderly man’s house hoping to steal some of his prescription painkillers. They had no idea what he was capable of. Now one is dead and the other is being held captive in his basement. Will the new detective in town solve the case before it’s too late?

This was so dark. It felt like every single character had some secret they were trying to keep covered or make repentance for (don’t we all?!) but it made for a heavier read for sure. The fear in this one as well as the frustration was palpable. This one also presented a unique moral dilemma because Emmett’s POV is explained so you almost commiserate with someone you’d otherwise deem a monster. I highly recommend for those looking for a morally grey suspense read!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - 4/5
