Book Review: The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose

From the outside, it looks like Sarah and Adam have the perfect marriage. Sarah is a celebrated and accomplished lawyer, and now partner in her law firm and Adam is a published writer. They have a nice home in Washington, D.C. and also a vacation cabin not far from the city where Adam can go to write. Their façade comes crashing down when Adam’s mistress is found dead in the bedroom of their vacation cabin and he is the police’s number one suspect. Despite being hurt and shell-shocked, Sarah decides to represent Adam to ensure that justice is served. Will she be able to rise above the chaos give Adam effective counsel or will he burn one too many chances along the way?

Gosh this book was utterly chaotic. I wanted so bad to be wrong about my hunch on this one, and to be fair I did not have the accomplice portion figured out. I really dislike books in which I dislike and distrust all characters and this is definitely one of those novels but I understand the moral dilemma of why. I would have liked a little more insight into the actual trial and how it unfolded and maybe a little less of Adam breaking out of police custody. 🙈😬 This was ultimately a solid story with solid twists, solidly psychotic characters, and kept my attention well. I recommend for fans of legal thrillers and mysteries.
