Book Review: The Third Wife by Lisa Jewell

Early one summer morning Maya Wolfe steps into the path of an oncoming bus. Her husband Adrian is left behind to navigate life in the aftermath through his grief and acceptance of her death. As he works to make sense of her death, he begins to examine what he had always assumed was a happy life together and with a comfortable merging of his life with his five kids and two ex-wives. He realizes that many secrets lurk below the surface and that it’s possible that maybe someone pushed Maya to her death.

This had me gripped from the start. I also have to say I utterly love the idea of the important date board that Adrian uses to keep his life in order and flowing well. Heavy whodunnit vibes and loads of red herrings. Also some nice feel good moments that you wouldn’t expect from a mystery/suspense type book as it explores the hard side of family dynamics and the impact of divorce. I recommend for those who enjoy a gripping mystery.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - 4/5
