The Allsops seem to have it all going right. They’re settled down with a nice home and a comfortable life; they’re trying for a baby. But this facade begins crumbling when Carrie finds love letters hidden in her husband’s briefcase that appear to reveal an illicit affair. Desperate for answers, she begins a pen pal relationship with the husband of the woman her husband is having an affair with. They form a unique and special bond that helps Carrie navigate the heartbreak of her deteriorating marriage.
This was absolutely everything I want in a novella/short story: intriguing plot with resolution, an unexpected twist, and a fun/unique format, plus it had TJR’s signature ties to other books in her universe. I can’t recommend this novella enough! I devoured it in an hour and simply wish there was more. The end was perfect. I recommend this for all TJR fans and those looking for a quick, captivating read.
